THE MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER

Motivational speakers are not born, they are made. They launch their careers speaking to smaller groups, collecting testimonials and growing their businesses to national level through related book, tape and workshop products.

It’s important, however, that you have really experienced some of the problems that you want to help your audience, and that you practice what you preach.

Sure, you could invent a trendy program that claims to help people find inner peace, win friends and influence people or learn the art of negotiation, but “flavors of the month” are soon forgotten.

Study other speakers programs, watch how they do it, and then work everyday at making your presentation better. Be sure you add value by telling your customers how much you can change their lives for the better.

Your ability to lift them to greater heights is what will ultimately lift your sales to new heights. You will travel frequently – unless you decide to market your presentation to a larger seminar promotion company and /or hire others to teach in your place.
