Characteristics of Charismatic Leaders
CONCERN!
Charismatic leaders have the ability to show concern for people’s deepest needs and interests. This doesn’t mean that they are mushy or patronizing, but when you are around them, you sense their interest and care and a feeling that you’re important.
If you need to develop a greater concern for others in your life, increase your exposure to those who are hurting. It’s only when you go and expose yourself to various situations that you will see enough to develop the concern necessary to move you to action.
HELP!
Charismatic leaders are helpers! They are out to se others profit; they have the gift of grace. There is no charisma in seclusion. You can’t walk into a room and have charisma by yourself. It’s always for other people, never for self!
People have problems! And being able to solve problems, will guarantee you a remarkable following.
ACTION!
Charismatic leaders possess the ability to make things happen. Something exciting always seems to be happening around them. They usually possess an aversion to boredom – either he or she may be controversial, unusual or entertaining, but never boring!
They have developed their creativity – the ability to say things in an unusual way; and confidence – the ability to do things in an unusual way. The two traits that people stand up to and take notice of.
